This training aims to further extend and refine your Leader of School Wellbeing skills and knowledge. We build upon the essentials and provide a step by step guide to progress your school wellbeing journey whilst looking after yourself in the wellbeing role.

Children and young people who feel cared for by people at their school and feel connected to learning are more likely to be motivated, show improved academic outcomes and academic self efficacy [and] are less likely to abuse substances, engage in violence, report mental health problems. (Bond et al., 2007; McNeely Nonnemaker, & Blum, 2002; O’Brien & Bowles, 2013)
It is increasingly recognised that as well as teaching academic skills, promoting student wellbeing is part of the core business of schools. (Cahill et al., 2015)
